Happin is proud to present, in partnership with the City of Toronto, the Spotlight Series – in benefit of the Unison Benevolent Fund.
Due to COVID-19, the world over has had to go through a major transformation, with every area of the economy being hit due to social distancing policies. Public gatherings of course, have been rendered null and void leaving much of the entertainment industry devastated, especially many of the hardworking people behind the scenes that make concerts our favourite places to be.
Happin is proud to support the Unison Benevolent Fund, their mission to help musicians and music industry workers in crisis. In a series of weekly professionally-produced livestreamed shows, Toronto musicians will be performing from the many closed venues across the city. The musicians and venues will be compensated for the shows and 100% of donations made from the stream will go directly to the Benevolent Fund.
“Music is a universal language that can be enjoyed by all. During a time in which we need to support homegrown talent and our music industry, we are giving opportunity to experience music from the comfort of their own home” says Mayor John Tory.
